Alessandra Cervino

Previous to joining TcLand Expression in September 2008, Prof. Alessandra Cervino was Head of Statistical Sciences and Assistant Professor at Scripps Florida, where she conducted the first genome wide study of lupus and developed an innovative workflow that combines genotypic and Transcriptomic data to identify novel genes. She also held a pioneering role as the first group leader in statistical genetics at Rosetta/Merck in the USA, where she played a leading role in translating genetic research programs into new drug targets and pharmacogenomic programs. Other research experience includes The Twin Research Unit at Kings College London, OxfordGlycoSciences, and the University of Glasgow. Prof. Cervino has lectured in prestigious universities, is the author of a book and many international publications in leading journals including Nature Genetics. She holds a PhD. in Clinical Medicine from the University of Oxford. She also holds an MSc in Biometry from the University of Reading and a Mathematics degree from the Free University in Brussels (ULB). She jointly holds an honorary senior lectureship from Kings College London.
